US Online Poker

You’ve already gathered from my earlier entries that players use the PokerStars bonus code because the site has great traffic and interesting promos. A promotion happening now is the PokerStars All Star Week, happening every day next week. The week will feature heads-up matches between Team PokerStars Pro and a group of Challengers that must qualify via satellites. Have I convinced you to play with your Internet slots some other time? If the answer is no, read the rest of this article and perhaps it will cause a change of heart.

PokerStars is one of the top Texas Holdem sites online, and they’re proving it with a $25,000 prize pool. Every day during All Star Week, there will be five different heads-up matches. The individual matches have $1,000 up for grabs. After all 35 matches have taken place, the team with the most wins will receive the $25,000 prize pool.

The site will be asking some of its elite players to take a break from Daniels Room poker to play on the team of Challengers. The team is selected via five freerolls, and each satellite awards five or six spots. In order to be invited to one of these freerolls, you will have to have made a final table of one of the PokerStars majors last year or you must have Supernova Elite status. In addition to a spot on the team, each freeroll winner will also be given a $1,050 WCOOP ticket. The WCOOP is likely to take place in September of 2010. If you like deposit bonuses, keep in mind that there will probably be a new PokerStars bonus code to celebrate the series.

If you are not invited to play in the free satellites, you can try an $11 Wildcard tournament. The players that finish in the first three spots will also win a spot on the team and a WCOOP ticket.

After you qualify as a Challenger, you then must play some additional selection tournaments. Once you win a given tournament against your fellow Challengers, you will be eligible to play the PokerStars Team Pro heads-up in the same type of poker the week after. Members of the Challenger team also have the chance to win the MVP award for the week by collecting as many points as they can. Challengers get one point for entering a selection tournament, three points for coming in first place in a selection tournament, and then five points for winning $1k in a heads-up tournament during All Star Week. If you have experience getting dealt lots of hands in casinos for US players, it shouldn’t be a problem to enter as many events as possible to rack up those points.

Every type of poker that PokerStars offers will have a heads-up match, so All Star Week should appeal to all players that have used a PokerStars bonus code. And don’t forget that if you failed to earn your place with the Challengers this time around, there’s always next year. To make sure you are eligible to play in some of the freerolls, it would be a good idea to pass less time in Mac compatible casinos and more time sitting at poker tables. It will be worth it, though!
